After years of prayer, fasting, and serving in various ministry roles—including as the Operations Pastor at Mercy Crossing in Martinsville, VA—God opened the door for the next step. In September 2015, Johnny became the Lead Pastor of Mercy Church in Patrick County, VA. Since then, God has continued to write a beautiful story. In May 2025, Johnny and Lauren were married and now serve side by side in ministry, united in their passion to see lives changed through the mercy and love of Jesus. Together, we believe every person was created on purpose, for a purpose. Johnny is passionate about preaching the Word of God with boldness, pastoring with compassion, and leading with vision. Lauren enjoys using her gifts to encourage and disciple women through small groups, lead others in worship, and create spaces for children to grow in their faith and experience the joy of Jesus. We love Patrick County and believe God has called us here for such a time as this. Mercy Church exists to love God and love people.
